Bridges & Crowns

When there is a very little tooth structure left, we have to restore the tooth with porcelain crown.Bridges & CrownsIn cases when a tooth is missing, although placing implant instead is our first choice, the cases where implant is contraindicated, we have to replace this area with a bridge. The teeth on either side of the missing tooth/teeth are prepared to serve as abutments to hold the prosthetic tooth/teeth in place. We prefer high quality materials such as all porcelain or porcelain fused to precious metal restorations according to the esthetic, biological and mechanical needs. Even in esthetic cases where improved strength is important, we use metal free zirconiumdioxide supported porcelain crowns which blend in naturally with your own teeth and gums.

Orthodontics

OrthodonticsOrthodontics is a specialty of dentistry that is concerned with the treatment of malocclusions (improper bites), which may be a result of tooth irregularity, disproportionate jaw relationships, or both.No matter what your age, orthodontics can protect your bite, maximize your teeth’s effectiveness in performing their functions and create a well-aligned smile. Orthodontics involves repositioning of the teeth and underlying roots, providing better support for the crown of the tooth. Orthodontic treatment is now associated with the benefits of greater esthetic appeal, increased comfort and reduced treatment time.Orthodontic treatment can also rejuvenate your facial appearance by reshaping the jaw, neck and lips, especially when combined with maxillofacial surgical procedures. In addition, well-aligned teeth make oral hygiene easier to maintain.New technology and new materials means treatment that is more comfortable, less visible, and more efficient and faster than ever. Modern orthodontics offers new clear esthetic braces, Invisible Aligners ® and super fast treatments.

Implants

The implants are little titanium roots which are placed into the jaw bone where teeth are missing.Implants are the latest technological products in dentistry. In 2007 as an average of 1,5 million implants were applied in all over the world. As well as restoring function and esthetics, implants can preserve facial structure by preventing the bone loss which occurs when teeth are missing. In general all implant procedures are performed with a simple local anesthetic injection in a comfortable dental chair. Following the implant placement, taking over-the-counter pain relievers is enough for the mild soreness. We recommend sedation dentistry for our patients who are afraid of dental treatments.

Bonding Restorations

Bonding tooth colored composite materials onto the tooth has been a dental technique for many years.

Recent advances have increased the strength, durability and longevity of these restorations. It is a very conservative way to repair little decayed, slightly chipped, discolored, worn teeth. Beside these, esthetic procedures such as tooth lightning, closing gaps, and giving a straight appearance to the teeth can also be done in a single visit.

Invisible Partials

The combination of special crowns and the precision attachments which are invisible under the denture provides perfect stability and a beautiful smile with no metal view in your mouth.

Gum Diseases

The diseases of the periodontium (periodontal diseases) are the most common factors for tooth loss in all over the world.

The structures, tissues (gum, bone, ligamaents) surrounding the tooth are named as periodontium. Generally, oral hygiene procedures that you do at home such as brushing and flossing and routine professional treatments done by your dentist such as ultrasonic scaling are enough to prevent periodontal diseases.

But in some cases, advanced treatments such as flap operation, root planning and tissue grafting are done in our clinic to stop the infection, to eliminate the deep pockets and to reconstruct the lost tissues.

Impacted Molars

Extraction of impacted third molars (wisdom tooth) is one of the most common procedures in dentistry.

We do not prefer to extract every impacted tooth unless it is a threat to neighboring tissues and tooth. When we are dealing with impacted tooth which is totally covered with bone, we recommend sedation for our patient’s comfort.

TMJ Dysfunction

The term “TMJ Dysfunction” describes an imbalance in the relationship of the jaw to the skull.

This imbalance causes two problems for those that suffer from it. First, it leads to improper alignment of the Temporomandibular Joints (TMJs) which connect these two bones. Secondly, it creates disharmony in the muscles which attach to the bones. The cascade of painful symptoms that arise solely from these two problems is staggering to most people. Although most times the pain is not actually in the TMJs themselves, you can feel your own by pressing your fingers just in front of your ears and opening and closing your mouth.

Esthetic Solutions

Veneers

Esthetic dentistry is truly changing the face of today’s oral care to offer patients fabulous, functional smiles. Being one of the most conservative treatment modalities, porcelain laminate veneer procedure is like the milestone of esthetic dentistry.

It is a wonderful way to correct discolored, crooked, worn out, gapped, misaligned teeth and bite problems while creating a more pleasing and beautiful smile. Porcelain laminate veneers are wafer-thin shells of ceramic material that are bonded onto the front side of teeth so to create a esthetic and functional improvement for teeth, mouth and the whole smile.

Smile Design

Smile design is truly a work of art that improves the aesthetics of your smile. Eyes, lip line, coloring, gum levels and face and much more are considered when a smile is designed just for that person.

The term smile design applies to enhancement of a smile using a combination of methods. We can choose from a number of smile design procedures such as: teeth whitening and direct freehand bonding, porcelain veneers dental implants or orthodontics. All these methods can also be employed to ensure that you are endowed with all the aspects of a beautiful smile.

Gummy Smile

Gum is like a frame around your teeth. Unaesthetic gum and tooth ratio may give an unpleasant appearance to the whole smile and the face.

Many people mistake this problem thinking that they have short teeth. On the contrary, they may have pearly white tooth structure underneath and overgrowth of gum tissue. Esthetic gum contouring is a very efficient surgical procedure in such cases.

Crowdening

Lack of space can cause some rotations on the dental arch. This situation ends up with coercive oral hygiene. Besides, crowdening can give an unpleasant appearance to the whole smile and the face. The treatment modalities can be orthodontics and porcelain laminate veneers.

Discoloration

Using tetracyline at early ages, non-vital teeth, silver amalgam fillings, tobacco and artificial colored foods are some of the reasons that can cause severe discolorations. Although teeth whitening is safe, effective, and an efficient way to dramatically improve discolorations, it cannot be satisfactory in severe cases and when there is excessive enamel defects.

Full Mouth Restorations

Full mouth rehabilitation corrects imperfections in bite position and enhances the appearance of the smile.

Combining the science and technology of neuromuscular dentistry with the artistry of esthetic dentistry, full mouth rehabilitation creates a smile that is functional, comfortable and beautiful.

If your teeth are worn down, broken or missing, if you experience pain around the jaw joints, headaches, back pain or muscle tenderness, if you have unexplained numbness in the fingers and arms – the symptoms that cause problems in both the bite and appearance of the mouth – then you should consider full-mouth rehabilitation. Such cases always get TMJ treatment first.

Metal Free Restorations

With modern technologies of dental adhesion, resins, lasers, and state-of-the-art ceramics, the new porcelain restorations are close to rivaling nature in strength, wear, function and appearance.

New materials let us bond teeth back together, virtually restoring them back to their virgin strength without invasiveness of full-coverage crowns. This is the most conservative technique which preserves the most original healthy tooth structure possible.
